Yes, yes it is a new design, thanks for noticing. It's nice I think, and I hope you agree.
I've been looking at some other portfolios recently that do vertical, sliding layouts, and I really liked them, so I decided that it would be a good idea to try one out on my portfolio. I had a trip to Boston planned, and I thought what better way to fly from coast to coast then to work on a new site design?
I really liked my last design, so I kept the same minimal design with focus on typography and whitespace, and improved on it. I reduced the fonts from 3 (in my last design), to 2. I also dramatically decreased the load time (The last site took 10-15secs to do a fresh load which I think is ridiculous).
If you look under the hood, you'll also notice that, besides the portfolio images, there are no images used. The fonts are implanted using CSS3, and the back to top button at the bottom also is made with CSS3 (isn't CSS3 amazing?).
So now that it's all finished and done with, I hope everyone who sees it enjoys it (Or at least decides not to throw their monitor out the window upon viewing it).
Thanks for stopping by and reading this!
